Welcome to 2016! I hope that this will be another big year.
We’ve put together a tentative trip list with a mix of caving and other activities. If you are interested in any of the activities please contact the organiser at least two weeks in advance to secure a spot.
Also new for this year we’ve expaned the introductory membership to a full year. So if your a student and are interested in trying caving its only $25 to join the club for the first year.
The Tuglow permit for September has been granted. Places are limited due to permit restrictions so if you are interested contact Peter Brady ASAP.
We’ve also put upt some tentative canyoning dates in November because its never to early to start planning for the warmer months.
I’ve just posted the 2015 Trip List in the upcoming trips page. Check it out and mark the events in your diary. There is a bit of everything in there but mainly caving. Highlights include a few possible XC mountain bike trips and rogaines.
The Australian National Rogaine Championships are in NSW in October this year so time to get training for that.
Just a quick reminder that the Tuglow trip is on and scheduled for 3/4 May. We have the permit and its all systems go. If you are interested contact Peter Brady ([email protected]) ASAP as places are limited. Also, as this is a vertical cave, additional experience may be required but if in doubt contact Peter.
The plan is to head out Friday and cave a long day on Saturday. Sunday will be a relaxed tourist type day.
I’ve just been emailed from National Parks to say that the permits are on the way for Tuglow (3-4 May) and Colong (31 May – 1 June). Colong has some conditions but if you are interested check out the details on our programme page and contact the organiser.
Also, Jenolan is still running next weekend. There may still be some places left so contact Andrew ASAP if you are interested.
The ASF is running a vertical course. If you are interested please see the details in the PDF flyer and respond directly to them.
Andrew had some time open up this coming Saturday – 1st June – and was interested in running a dry canyon trip out on Newnes Plateau. If you are interested contact him ASAP on [email protected]
We have been granted the permit for Tuglow so its all systems go. Places are filling fast so please contact me ASAP if you are interested in attending.
I’m looking at doing the vertical SRT entry rather than Wards Chimney to get to the river. Therefore, previous SRT experience is a must.
The Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Squad is now taking registrations for its next April 2013 course.
Dates: 6 & 7 April 2013 and 20 & 21 April 2013.

If you already have certification and require re-certification, a re-certification course (single weekend) course is planned for September and a full course in October. Details will be provided closer to the date.
