2015 Trip List Posted

I’ve just posted the 2015 Trip List in the upcoming trips page.  Check it out and mark the events in your diary.  There is a bit of everything in there but mainly caving. Highlights include a few possible XC mountain bike trips and rogaines.

The Australian National Rogaine Championships are in NSW in October this year so time to get training for that.

Last Minute Invitation to Jenolan Caves

There are a few spots left on a joint CSS and UTSSS trip for this coming weekend, that is the 16th and 17th June 2012. If you are interested contact me (Peter Brady [email protected]) ASAP.

There is a review of the cave numbering system currently under way by the NSW Speleo Council. See the PDF which explains what is going on if you are interested.

ASF Vote on MICC And Scientific Code

The Australian Speleological Society of which UTSSS is a corporate member has posted a Postal Ballot on changes to the Minimal Impact Caving Code and the Minimum Impact Code for Scientific Investigation in Caves and Karst.  Could all UTSSS members that are interested please have a look through the documents and let the committee know their opinion.

The committee will then vote accordingly on behalf of the members.

UTS Union City 2 Surf Team

As usual the UTS Union is entering a team in the City 2 Surf fun run and am aiming to make it the largest team yet. If you are interested please contact Carly Halliday ([email protected]) at the union to subscribe to updates. If you know you want to definitely enter then the Union has a web form to join.
